Using the app

Xploreo is a guide, not a navigation system. Routes follow pedestrian streets as mapped in OpenStreetMap and may be out of date; cross roads, enter buildings and judge your surroundings yourself. Keep headphone volume at a level where you can hear traffic.

Stories are generated from public sources and read by a synthetic voice. We work to keep them accurate, and they may still contain errors. They are provided for interest, not as a reference.

Content and sources

Place descriptions and facts are drawn from Wikipedia and Wikidata, available under their respective free licences. Map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors. Photographs on this site are credited on the photo credits page.

Beta software

While the app is distributed through TestFlight it is pre-release software: features may change or be removed and the service may be interrupted without notice.
