The app

Xploreo has no accounts. Your walks, the places you have reached, the stories you have listened to and the cities you mark are stored on your phone and are not uploaded.

Your location is read on the device to build routes, to start a story when you reach a place, and to draw the line of a walk in your own history. When the app asks our servers for places or a route it sends the coordinates of the area you are looking at or the point you want to start from; it does not send a history of where you have been.

When you share a walk with a guest pass, the server stores the code, the stops of the route, an identifier of your device and of each guest's device, and, while the pass is active, your current position and what is playing so guests can follow. A pass expires after 24 hours and its record is deleted a week later. Guests' positions are never stored or shared.

The app sends crash reports and performance data so we can fix what breaks. Guest-pass codes are removed from those reports before they leave the phone.
